Northern Wilderness Renewed Applique Set

Laser Cut Appliques
Pattern by Marie Noah

If cutting fabric pieces isn’t your forte, or if you want to start the project immediately, our laser-cut appliques are the perfect choice!

The Northern Wilderness complete laser-cut appliques set includes applique pieces for all 16 blocks featured in the Northern Wilderness Quilt pattern. All the applique pieces are pre-fused and laser-cut.

Pattern and background fabrics NOT included

If you have a copy of the original pattern, what is the difference?
The overall look of the finished quilt is the same. There aren't as many individual appliqué pieces to place on the background, which will simplify placement. You can use the Northern Wilderness Renewed applique set with the original pattern. The general layout will still guide you on placement, but the pieces may not be an exact fit in some blocks, and the piece numbering won't match.

The renewed pattern had some color changes, but you can reference those differences with the picture included in this set. The base pattern has no changes. However, more details are provided, such as exactly which fabrics were used in the Northern Wilderness Renewed version, and more helpful hints for the piecing process in the instructions.

WHERE TO USE
The fabric will maintain a soft hand after fusing. These appliques are great for apparel, home décor, and craft projects. It bonds fabric to fabric or to any porous surface, such as wood and cardboard.

HOW TO APPLY
Gently peel off the paper backing to expose the fusible web. Position the applique onto the project as desired with the fusible web side down. Cover with a damp press cloth, then press firmly with the iron on the Wool setting for 10-15 seconds. Repeat, lifting and overlapping the iron until all fabric is fused. Remove the press cloth and iron the fabric to eliminate excess moisture.

FINISHING ON FABRIC
The applique can be stitched using your thread of choice and free-motion straight stitch.
